CIRCULAR ECONOMY

ECORR are continually looking for more effective ways to reduce waste in the civil construction industry. By using creativity and innovation, ECORR is re-designing how our economy works by re-engineering products that can be “made to be made again”.

In addition to reducing the impacts of the linear economy, the circular economy model represents a systemic shift that builds long-term resilience, generates business and economic opportunities, and provides environmental and social benefits. The Sydney basin has a massive head start in opportunities with recycled materials typically representing a 25-50% saving compared to their quarried alternatives.

“The circular economy is about changing the way we produce, assemble, sell and use products to minimise waste and to reduce our environmental impact. The circular economy can also be great for business; by maximising the use of our valuable resources, and by contributing to innovation, growth and job creation.” NSWEPA draft policy statement
